Last week I shared the new crocheted hair pins I picked up from Fatemah’s Jewelry & Accessories etsy shop. What I didn’t mention was I also grabbed the cutest pair of handmade peacock earrings along with it!
I just could not resist buying these. Especially since Shelli of Hairscapades arranged for a 20% discount!
Here’s the bad news though. If you like these earrings, you may need to contact Fatemah to see if she can make you a pair. When I last checked they were sold out.
However, you may be even more intrigued with this next pair of peacock earrings I’m about to share.
While chatting with YouTuber, MlleCafeAuLait on Twitter, I discovered that she too created a pair of peacock earrings that she was offering in her etsy store. Not only were they stunning, they were quite unique.
About 1/3 more of the cost of Fatemah’s peacock earrings, they were certainly worth it for such a beautiful pair of earrings so I bit and bought.
I also like what Adrienne had to share about peacocks:
“Peacock feathers represent pride, and by extension, nobility and glory. Peacock feathers also are a symbol of good luck and well-being throughout Asia and most of the world. Peacocks are also known to eat poisonous plants with no ill effects, making their feathers a symbol of incorruptibility and immortality.”
This brings up a fond memory of when I was growing up. My mom and grandmother both used to keep a vase full of peacock feathers in the corner of their respective living rooms as part of the decor.
