Boost Your Skin’s Moisture With These Paraben Free Products

If you have sensitive dry skin, this product review post is for you.

Lumene face moisturizers

One thing becoming more in tune with my skin has taught me is that, the brand of product you use on your face is much less important than the ingredients in the product. However, certain brands formulate for sensitive skin more than others. That’s what I like about Lumene. Their facial products are almost all natural, like the two I’m about to share with you.

Heavy chemical ingredients like parabens and sulfates should not be found in sensitive skin products. I avoid them like the plague. To read more about why, check out this article on The Dangers of Parabens and Sulfates.

Now on to my review of the products…

Lumene Arctic Aqua 2-in-1 Skin Perfecting Moisture Booster

lumene moisture booster

This product contains spring water, hyaluronic acid and is formulated much like a serum. The hyaluronic acid helps smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.

Clear in nature, I can’t say enough good things about this facial product. While it’s technically created to be used in conjunction with your moisturizer, from what I’ve experienced this can be used solo. It kept my skin feeling soft, supple and moisturized the entire day.

What’s more, Lumene’s Skin Perfecting Moisture Booster can be used as a makeup primer. Your skin is left so smooth after application that your make-up glides on and settle nicely into your skin. Excellent for $14.99

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Biosaccharide Gum-1, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Dehydroxanthan Gum, Propylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Menthyl Lactate, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract, Parfum (Fragrance).

Lumene Sensitive Touch 5 Minute SOS Cream

lumene 5 minute sos face cream

The organic linen seed extract in this cream is so soothing. It protects your skin from irritation from external irritants.

The consistency is so light that it literally melts into your skin like the moisture booster. When paired with the moisture booster, your skin is left feeling soft, hydrated and non-greasy.  I now use these two products daily before applying my make-up. I can definitely see repurchasing these. Especially, since a little goes a long way and the retail price is affordable.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Buytrospermum Parkii (shea Butter), Squalane, Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Glycerides, Heptyl Undecylenate, Jojoba Esters, Copernicia Cerifera (carnauba) Wax, Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables, Ethylhexylgycerin, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Gylcol, Coco-glucoside, Linum Usitatissimum (lineseed) Seed Extract, Proline, Alanine, Serine, Sodium Phosphate, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15, Sodium Hydroxide.

Both facial products are about 90% natural and the ingredients that are not are located toward the end of the ingredient list, making them scarce within.
