The Difference Between Good and Great Skin

Michelle June 27, 2012 20

good versus great

Good skin is relatively clear with an occasional blemish here or there.
Great skin is absolutely radiant with a completely even tone.

Good skin is moisturized most of the time.
Great skin is hydrated from within and rarely requires an externally applied moisturizer.

Good skin has had sunscreen applied to it when it’s sunny out.
Great has sunscreen applied to every day regardless of weather conditions.

Good skin is protected from outdoor free-radicals with antioxidants.
Great skin is protected from environmental contaminants outdoors and indoors.

Good skin gets cleansed, toned and moisturized daily.
Great skin gets cleansed, toned and moisturized twice daily.

Good skin is cared for by someone else.
Great skin is cared for by the individual possessing it keen enough to learn how to care for it herself.

We’re all a work in progress. At least I am.

How do you achieve good skin/great skin?

Im on my way to great skin. Its really improved since I changed my regimen. When I complained to my wedding make up artist about my oily skin, she told me that I should be thankful for it because I will have nice hydrated as a age and it fights off wrinkles too. What are your thoughts?

PS: I love this new site lol
PS part 2: Dont be alarmed but I disabled the comments on my blog lol and I plans on disabling the blog soon….

Well she’s right about oily skin helping to prevent wrinkles. Hydration and oil is not the same thing though. You can have oily skin and still require moisture.

Disabling your site???????? Why???? Are you going to do a new one? Don’t stop. If its the comments, you know how I feel about that. I struggle with them too but I know I have good stuff to share so I keep going.

you have the recipes i’m waiting for so umm yeah keep on pressing on! lol

I never really thought there’s a ‘quite big’ difference between good and great skin. Good to know that I possess some of those you mentioned. Hurray for me, I guess. :)

Great post! I’m guilty of using moisturizers that don’t have SPF. I know I’m aging my skin faster. When I switched to a moisturizer with SPF, my skin broke out. Are there any you recommend?

Hey Rece I actually really LOVE Neutrogena SpF 45 Helioplex. It’s not all natural but it hasn’t caused me any reactions and I like how it goes on so smoothly without leaving that chalky looking film that others usually give, the higher the SPF.

Also, there’s one I used for the face for a loooong time that’s good. It’s by Eucerin. It’s Every Day Face Lotion with SPF 15 or 30. I forget. I haven’t seen it lately but I know they sell it at places like Duane Reade
