A Fool Proof Method To Know What Skin Care Products Work for Your Skin

Skin care products. Hair care products. Supplements. Eating plans.skin care

It doesn’t matter what it is. Trial and error. That’s the usual train of thought when it comes to trying new things. As a matter of fact, someone said it to me not too long ago.

“Everything you do or try is trial and error.”

Of course, everything new is a trial but what if you could eliminate some of the error part?

Natural Hair Care Similarities

When deciding to go natural with hair care, it’s easy to get sucked in to trying any and every product with the goal of achieving the best results for growth and styling.

Crucial to helping us naturals care for our hair is knowing our hair type (3b, 4a, low porosity, high porosity etc) and what ingredients react well with our hair. It’s no different when it comes to skin care.

Knowing your skin type (oily, dry, normal, sensitive, combination), the types of product (all natural, partially synthetic, etc.)  and the ingredients that your skin thrives on (aloe, kaolin clay, AHA’s, etc.) is necessary to avert much of the error from purchasing skin care products based on popularity, advertising or confusion.

Track It

It’s recommended that when you decide to go natural for the first time, you keep a hair care journal. The benefits of having such a journal is you discover very quickly the effects that different products have on your hair.  You learn what works for your hair and what doesn’t.

Guess what?

Keeping a skin care journal can do the same thing for you!

If you are just beginning to follow a consistent daily skin care regimen, keeping a skin care journal will be invaluable. As you make note of the top ingredients, product types and brands, you’ll find out the family of skin care products that work well for your skin. Simultaneously, you’ll discover what causes your skin to react negatively.

I’m willing to bet that there isn’t one person reading this post who has a skin care journal! If there is one, reveal yourself so I can honor you :-)

A Free Download

In an effort to help you meet your skin care goals, I created a skin care journal that you can download at no charge. (yes, the best things in life are free). You can download it here.

Maybe you already know what products work for your skin. Great for you. This download is more for beginners (and age does not discriminate) however, please feel free to share it on your own blog or with your mailing list if you fiind it helpful.

Below is a nice little button you can use to put on your blog if you so choose. Just copy the code in the box below to add the button to your blog

Yeah I can’t say that I ever owned a skin care journal, but it’s a great idea.

Whats your take on face toner…

      Hi Leah-

A lot of people skip face toner but I think it’s an important part of any skin care regimen because when you wash your face, your pores open. The toner helps to close the pores back up again.

Instead of buying a face toner, many will use witch hazel.
