When I attended BlogHer12 almost a month ago, I received the new Broadway Nails Impress Press-On Manicure kit. This manicure kit is basically a set of press on nails that secure to your nails with an adhesive coating.

To say that this “express” manicure is the worst I’ve ever seen is calling it lightly. First, why is it not impressive?
- If your fingers are slightly wide, there isn’t a fake nail for you. These are made for extremely skinny fingers. My fingers are pretty lean and still the sizes were not right.
- You have to be VERY careful doing your hair with these things on. My hair got caught on the sides (thanks to the uneven fit) and snagged several times. This is the worst thing in my opinion.
- If you have any sort of length to your nails, these Impress press-on nails are not for you. My nails aren’t even long (just slightly over my finger tips and the press-ons were way too short!
- You have to apply the press-ons far above your cuticle area, making it very obvious that these are fake.
What’s good about Impress Press-On Nails?
Not much but let me take a stab at it now that I’ve shared the ugly with you. I like to be fair so here are the slightly redeeming qualities:
- You don’t get that fake feeling while picking up things like you do with fake acrylic nails
- There’s a wide variety of designs and they are cute.
- The packaging is impressive – about the only thing (OK sorry, this is supposed to be the “good” section). You get an emery board and a packet containing what smells like alcohol to clean your nail beds.
Should you bother to purchase the Broadways Nails Impress Press On Manicure?
Well, if you hate doing your own manicures, have tiny fingers AND have no money to get them done professionally, then give them a shot. They retail for about $7.99.
I have one box remaining. I’ll probably give them away since my nails are growing being grown out (more on that in a future post)
Have you tried Impress Press On Nails? What’s your take on them?

Wow!! I didn’t have that problem. I got a sample too at BlogHer. I have fat wide fingers and they fit great except for one of my deformed thumbs. But that’s because I jammed it when I was little and never got it fixed. The only thing I didn’t like was that I felt like my nails needed to breathe.
I wonder if the ones with designs are different from the solid colored ones. did you have the ones with the designs?
I did rip them off after 2 days though. I felt like my nails needed to breathe too! That and the fact that I couldn’t stand to see parts of my own nail peeking through lol
You’re right. I have once tried to use press nail manicure and it end up loosing every nail I have. I think that the nail is good for a day and cannot last for a month.

Oops! Yes, I tried that before and they don’t fit my fingernails perfectly. So I never ever attempted to try them again. They are good for a special event and not for dailies. Do you think natural nails and nail arts will be worth it for my daily, busy life?

girrrl i don’t even have wide nail beds and they still don’t fit.
You are aware they make medium length right ??? And possibly that medium length WILL fit your nailbed. Know everything about a product before you crappy poo on it.
First off, I’ll “crappy poo” on whatever it is I wish right here on this here blog. Second of all, then that is on the company because I dealt with them directly and they did NOT advise of various lengths.
