As involved as it is to find the right products to care for your hair, finding products for your skin type is equally as involved. It can be downright frustrating and who wants to try product after product before find the right one?
So, I put together a little list of tips to help guide you in the most simple way possible when you go shopping for skin products.
Know Your Skin Type
Duh. Seems simple right? Before you can buy a product to care for your skin, you need to know your skin type. It will do no good to buy a cleanser or moisturizer for all skin types. You’ll get the best care using products specifically for your skin type.
Keep It Simple
While you may be tempted to try serums and concentrates that boast miraculous skin treatment, it’s best to keep your facial products simple: Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer and a Face Mask.
Also, while exfoliating is a recommended weekly routine everyone should follow, you may be able to find cleansers that have exfoliating properties. In this case, you would need a cleanser that’s gentle enough to exfoliate without stripping your skin of its natural oils.
Understand Ingredient Labels
If a product has a long list of complex ingredients, in line with keeping it simple – leave it on the shelf. If you have sensitive skin, avoiding products with a long complex list of ingredients is best.
Focus on one or two products within the same type (ex: cleansers) looking for ingredients you can actually pronounce and remembering that what’s listed first is what’s in the product in abundance.
Natural is Most Simple
Many ladies opt to use products from nature to care for their skin. For example, yogurt or avocado can be used to make homemade face masks. Lemons can be used to minimize the oil in oily skin and honey can be used to treat mild acne. Herbal facial recipes can made from spices like cinnamon and tumeric.
If your goal is to be a true minimalist then using some of the foods you eat as your skin care products is the way to go.
Being a minimalist in any area of life requires one thing….Simplicity. Purchasing skin care products is less of a chore when you take into advisement the tips I’ve just shared.
Now for a little poll:

I prefer on natural organics and that can be found in the kitchen which contains vitamins and minerals for the skin. I am contented of those for safety purposes and it is very affordable. I tend to have it because with patience, I can truly knew the effects of natural products to the skin. Have some try.
