A New Outlook: It’s Never Too Late to Start Over

On Mondays I normally share some information on hair care, new hair candy or a hair related story. I got nothing pertaining to new outlook on lifehair today.

As a matter of fact, I’ve had so much going on, I’m just now able to connect.

Lately, I’ve been going through quite a few personal challenges as it pertains to my family, my household and my personal goals. For a while there I was feeling depression loom over me to the point that I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pick myself up. What I needed was a new outlook on life.

Thank God every day is a new day and new days bring new opportunities. It may be difficult to see the forest for the trees (I’ve always wanted to say that) but with a little self reflection it’s possible to gain a new outlook on life. You can always start over.

For me, starting over means getting back on track with my work out regimen.

Starting over means remembering that God doesn’t see me as I see myself and I can come to Him at any time to start over.

Getting rid of excess baggage in my life and allowing doors to new opportunities to open by adopting a positive outlook are ways to start over.

That may not be what you were expecting for a Monday hair post but hopefully it helps someone. I’ll be back next Monday with a new post sharing some ways to style your hair that are low manipulation. Stay tuned.

What does starting over mean to you?

    • Thanks Jen. I really do need a lot more than that but one day at a time.
Thanks for always sharing encouraging words.

  2. I have been going through something this week myself and have to be faithful. Really have to remember to stand strong and believe. Trust in the Lord with all your might and lean not on your own understanding. He will direct your path. I have to get back into church and Bible study. Thank you for encouraging me.

    • girl you just encouraged me with that Word. I have been slacking trying to do way too much and its time to return to where I know I can find peace.

  3. Hi Michelle!

I just started a work out regimem. I started yesterday (Monday) and I feel a lot better about things that I’ve been dealing with. I am alone in most of what I do and have very little support and that gets me down.

Starting my workout regimen and making changes with my hair as well as cutting people and things from my life (baggage) has really helped me have a more positive attitude about things.

Change to me means there is always hope and where there is hope there is success. Chances to make things even better.

Best wishes and blessings in all that you do!

  4. Whatever is going on, know God can and will work it out. We all have our days, weeks, and some even months. It gets like that sometimes. But it won’t always be that way so be encouraged :-) I pray that everything works out in your favor and know that things will get better.

Many blessings and much love to you sis.

    • Girl what isn’t going on? I feel overwhelmed sometimes. Then I feel like there isn’t enough time to do what I’d like and what I need to do.

I know God can work things out. I just need to get back to what I know.

      Thanks sis :-)

Oh I’ve been wondering where you’ve been LOL

    • thats just one of the things I’m trying to get back with too. I used to exercise every day but 1 in the week. Now I’m struggling 2x a week

  8. I know that every day is a new day and God is with us every step of the way. When I get down I have to check myself out and see what I need to do or have not been doing.

Pray that you are energized and fired up!
