Product Review: Atopalm Moisturizing Cleansing Foam

Always on the hunt to try new products, I was pleased to be offered the opportunity to review yet another skin care product in the Atopalm line.

I’ve already reviewed many of the other products that Atopalm offers:

Review of Atopalm Foot Cream, Hand Cream and Body Lotion

Review of Atopalm Moisturizing Cleansing Wipes

Aside from my own skin care line, Blended Naturals, this is my favorite sensitive skin line.  It’s not 100% natural but it is formulated for sensitive skin and that’s good enough for me.

When products are formulated for sensitive skin, most of the harmful ingredients that cause skin to react are omitted.

Atopalm Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Foam

Before I share my review of this product, know that while I have combination skin, this cleanser appears to be just fine for oily skin as well as dry.

I also had my 17 year old daughter wash her face for several days to review the product. She has super dry skin. I used this cleansing foam on my face and on my body.

Just because it’s labeled a face cleanser doesn’t mean you can’t use it on your body. The skin on your face is more sensitive than the skin on your body so if it’s good enough for your face, it’s good enough for your body.

I’ll start with the con and get it out of the way. The pros outweigh the one con.

Con

I don’t know that this is really a con because it’s more a matter of preference. While this facial cleanser is formulated for sensitive skin, it does contain some fragrance. The thing with fragrance is that’s a vague term. It’s not an essential oil that adds the fragrance or it would say so. Therefore, the source of the fragrance is a bit unknown.

On the flip side, fragrance is the very last ingredient on the ingredients list so it’s only a minuscule amount. It’s probably just a trace so because of it’s listing on the cleanser, it’s safe to say that the amount of fragrance is so small, it will not affect the products performance.

Pros

    • Does a good job of gently cleansing away makeup from the skin without leaving it feeling stripped
    • Skin is left feeling moisturized but not greasy
    • Does not contain any harmful sulfates or parabens
    • $18 direct from the manufacturer is a very reasonable price. Because it’s a foam, you’ll get a lot of uses out of this product. One half of a pump was more than sufficient. You can get this cheaper ($14) from Amazon:
