Aren’t they? When I first started putting them on, I kept messing them up and wasting money. That first layer of plastic wasn’t coming off easily.
Nail strips are the only thing that lasts more than 10 days for me. Unfortunately, getting several Gel manicures in a salon has weaken my nails and polish chips in a day. Thank you for the contest.
Are you using anything to strengthen your nails? This is an old product and it’s filled with formaldehyde so it shouldn’t be used as a staple but Mystic Nails works really well at strengthening your nails. I used to use it years back. It’s just a clear paint on top coat that you use for like 10 days or so – no polish or anything. Just that for 10 days. It worked like a charm.
I had considered getting a gel manicure and decided against it. Now I know I won’t be doing it.
Yes, I am using Sally Hansen and Avon nail strengthener. I am so mad about what the Gel fills did to me it’s not even funny. I’ve had long nails my entire life – maybe aging too…but I know that my nails have never been this weak before.
How are those nail strengtheners working for you? I need to try something new because I let my daughter convince me to put these darn tips on my nails and when I had taken them off, my nails were like paper!
It’s taking time but the Sally Hansen seems to be working.

me either! I can’t wait to try the non-toxic polish though. I hope it doesn’t rub off too easily or I’ll be back to toxic polish in no time lol
I love the idea of non-toxic polish. Now that I am a Mom, these things have become even more important to me.
